@darkmorgado

LED is LCD with an LED backlight. How big a downgrade or not is down to the type of LCD panel used. TN usually being the lower end of the spectrum and IPS (iPhone) the high end.

-edit-

It should also be noted that OLED does suffer from some problems not present on LCD panels. Mura effect and screen burn both being pretty common on the Vitas screen.

EA will continue to make games with an offline mode, Peter Moore insists

Turambar

There seems to have been a rash of companies failing to get their message across first time and having to clarify what they meant after gamer backlash recently.

Perhaps finding out what people want first and offering it to them is a better marketing strategy. Rather than pitching bullshit at them and telling them it's what they want only to be told to gtfo.

Origin launches free 24-hour return on EA games

Turambar

5 years ago

I'm starting to warm to Origin as a service. Not because Origin does anything right particularly but because Steam is doing a hell of a lot wrong.

Badges, trading cards and steam levels are all rubbing me the wrong way. There may be some small benefit to the consumer from these things on steam but at the end of the day it's still a carrot on a stick monetisation service that preys on peoples OCD.
