@cattypat I experience very similar emotions - swing back and fore from 'look at all those shiny games I have access to' excitement to 'argh my backlog', decision anxiety and an annoyance with my self for succumbing to an easy MP fix when I should be completeling Witcher3 and yeah using the 'leaving soon' fomo to focus on titles leaving I haven't tried. I Love Gamepass but I need some kind of system to manage how to enjoy it also. Maybe I need a hide or focus option and just crack on. Choice paralysis is a real thing. I wonder if the new generations don't feel it as much as someone like me who used to collect Video Game cassettes and played titles over and over beacuse there was very little else. |

If you haven’t played Titanfall 2 by now you absolutely should. Full stop. Star Wars battlefront 2 was justifiably avoided at launch but the developers have put a tone of new features and consistently interact with the community to improve it. It’s a LOT better than it was and I always have a good time with it. |

Good Respawn! Kind Respawn!!! Really hoping TF2 gets some of the acclaim that TF1 (IMHO) deserved. Halo 5 MP jumping and clambering and boosting has improved it without taking it's core 'Haloness' away. But TF1 was a complete breath of fresh air with it's pilot verticality and switch to slowpaced mechanic firepower. |

My personal bug de bear is that nearly everyone uses the word hopefully incorrectly. When you say 'Hopefully, I'm going out tomorrow night.', do you mean, in essence, when you go out tomorrow night you are planning to be going out 'full of hope'? No. You mean that 'I hope I'll be out tomorrow night'. I don't know who started this terrible yet very popular misuse but I have my suspicions it began in Kent... Rubbish language anyway. I really enjoyed the article but at the end felt like it ultimately just posed a question which it never answered. "There's the potential, I think, for difficult middle-age problems to lead to creative and entertaining solutions - albeit ones that hopefully don't have a £40 price tag attached." Great. I agree. But I would have liked some speculation on what those creative and entertaining solutions are going to look like. Many games will be retired, servers switched off and rebooted. It's the emergent gameplay games that will rule in years to come. Enough of the pretty pretty graphics -we're almost there really - get that AI cranking please! |
