These 122 Gamestation stores are still open for business
| Gamestation used to a wonderful store, not that long ago. Full of retro goodness and reasonably priced second hand games, and a pleasingly nerdy atmosphere. The ones in Birmingham were outstanding for a time. Anyway, good to see my hometown store still around, the last thing Port Talbot needs is another empty shop front. |

New NeoGeo handheld confirmed
|
If it's anything like the Megadrive ones then it will be cheap and 'orrible with a blurry display and spongy buttons. What needs to be released is an original good quality neo-geo home arcade joystick with all the games built in. I'd bite at about 100 quid for something like that. The portable market is dead for everyone else now with 3ds, vita, iphone, android, ipad etc. Plug and play to your TV on the other hand, still has potential. |

Tekken 3D: Prime Edition Review
| Just to add that DOA 3DS is pretty limited in one player mode as well. A good fighting engine but little in the way of lasting fun for the single player - the tag mode has you teaming up with a CPU character, for example. The time attack is the same fighters, and there's no random arcade mode. Haven't tried online. |

Suzuki: "We can obtain Shenmue license from Sega"
| Every time I see the word Shenmue in a news article my heart skips. I'm always let down. Surely the series has enough of a cult following to justify a new entry? Hell, do it in the original graphical style if it makes it easier. In fact, I'd prefer that. |

Nintendo eShop update 13/10/11
| Mario Golf (the RPG type one on GBA) was one of the best sports games ever, no doubt. I was kinda hoping things like that might be available when I got my 3DS. No we get this which was simplistic 22 years ago. |

Retrospective: Nintendo World Cup
|
I think you'll find Argentina had the best supershot as it was always on target! Loved this game back in the day too. Great times. At the time it was the only footy game I played so I didn't know any better I suppose. Blades of steel was what me an my mates played for a more serious game of sportiness. +1 to the bedwetter as well. Remember Adidas power Soccer? That was the last knockabout game I can remember. |

| Oooh I forgot I haven't played Miles Edgworth yet. With this and 999 as well that should keep me going for the rest of the year (as well as an unopened Warioware DIY, and the ever present civilization revolution) |

Super Mario All-Stars
| Surely 4 x 500 points = 4 x £3.50 = £14? Either that or I've miscalculated. I have all these games on VC and assumed that's what I paid. Or have wii points gone up? 1000 points is £7 I thought. |

Mobile Games Roundup
| It's almost impossible to properly review a game that costs 59p. You can't even get a decent packet of crisps for that price. If a game is amusing for ten minutes you've pretty much got your money's worth. |

Punch-Out!! Euro date confirmed
|
Bunkum and balderdash to this Mike Tyson being unbeatable nonsense. When I were a kid i could beat him (albeit in his Mr Dream incarnation) without getting a hit. i fired up Punch out for the first time in years a few months ago and found I could still beat him. SO THERE I can still remember the password to get to the Dream fight as well: 007 373 5963 Fuck man, I must've played that game way too much as a kid that that's burned into my memory. |

New Play Control! Mario Power Tennis

What about Sega Superstar Tennis? I 've never played it but is this better than that? Why no mention? Still waiting for VT, like everyone else I guess. Even with M+, I still hope they allow for classic/sideways remote control. |

My Coach Roundup
|
I bought the intermediate version of the French game and I'm well pissed off. I'm sure it says in the review that it teaches you grammar and sentence construction but it does nothing of the sort. I've only unlocked some of the games but a quick glance at the manual shows that every single game merely teaches you vocabulary. I know a little French having a GCSE and attended a night class last year so went for the intermediate rather than beginner (which to be fair is the one reviewed here), but all I have is the ability to possibly learn 10,000 new words but no help on how to contruct a simple sentence. 20 quid for a dictionary basically. Bollocks. |

The 12 Days of Last Christmas
|
Spot on about Shenmue, and after reading that I can't wait to get back home to Wales and dig out my Dreamcast for a go of Shenmue. It reminds me of Christmas because I got my DC on November and Shenmue (and Jet Set radio!) for Christmas off my parents. I think I played Shenmue all day everyday over that christmas break in 2000. Truly an inspiring game and probably my favourite ever if I had to pick one. The big decision now is - should I play Shenmue 1 or 2? |
