Less battery life for PSP-3000, says Sony

I see what you did there - progress indeed, or perhaps they have quite a few of those extended batteries that are not selling, this should do the trick.

The Wii "isn't hurting us", says Sony boss

Sandbox

The PS3 has been a monumental cock up from day one, don't think this is in doubt. Nothing much wrong with the machine, just very bad management by Sony.

Nintendo took a huge gamble with the Wii, and love it or hate it, it's paid of, and big mass market sales are not driven by the likes of us on this website.

For me I am glad Nintendo have done well, they still make some great games and it would have been a shame to see them go. Being an old fart most of my gaming is spent on local multiplayer either on the Wii or DS with friends after a dinner party.

I had a 360, but after my 6th packed up I got a PS3, which I do like, I will get another 360 as soon as I am sure they have finally fixed the thing.

Whilst I am sure that to an extent the Wii has put a dent in the success of the PS3, I think it has brought may new people to gaming that would never have bought a PS3 anyway.

UK gaming more popular than ever

Could be the Wii effect, more people going for local multi-player, something the PC just don't do well. Also very few PC's sold to the great unwashed will actually play games properly.

..is expecting a very expensive USB 'Expansion Pak' from Nintendo soon, AKA a branded 4GB USB Stick, for what about $49?? Probably with a chip that means you will not be able to use just any drive.

I used a GC pad on 'C' settings, give you a proper fire button, otherwise the 'Z' button mapping is a bit odd, hopefully N will get round to making a proper set of classic Wii pads.

S&P is indeed a great game, and just the sort of title I wanted to see on the VC. Problem in our house is lack of additional Wii, my wife is hooked on Paper M on the VC and also into Super PM, so cannot get to play S&P, think it may require a trip to Gamestation to fill the big N's coffers once more.

Wii outselling rivals

People want it because it's a bit of fun, like the iPod it has captured the popular imagination, and at 180 including it's most popular game, it's no major investment

PSP redesign confirmed

Looking forward to seeing this, the DS originally had a fair amount of empty space, as I found removing beer from mine, but the PSP has much more to pack in, can see how they could make it lighter, but smaller?

Fair enough, actually quite enjoyable, I'm gash at FPS but the controls work fine. The visuals are pooh though.

Could not agree more Zomoniac, who gives a toss about this?

EG's Wii offerings have been poor to say the least.
