| I remember cloudy afternoons in football season. My dad and brother would watch a match on TV and I would have the same game upstairs. You could have 45 minutes a half, and I would come down at half time and check on the real score and make tea and grab biscuits and then go back up and play my own second half. Microswitches clicking furiously on my joystick, rapt in the game with the tea going cold but still listening out for the sound of my family shouting in the room below to know if a goal had been scored. |

@nothough This guy has it right. Galaxy is one of the best games you will ever play; because of Nintendo's art style I don't think the graphics have aged terribly. For me if i had to recommend the best 3D platformers on thw Wii U it would be this and its sucessor. And I'm not even disparaging 3D world which itself is excellent; it's just not Galaxy. So if you want arguably the finest 3D platformers ever made, yeah Ł18 seems reasonable. I would add that I would prefer a lower price point because I think it would sell more games and be more profitable for Nintendo. But i figure they must have people looking at the price points and there must be a reason they charge this much. So yes it's definitely worth it, but whether this price makes them most money I'm unsure. I'd also say about Smash Bros pricing, I'd love to buy all fighters but not at that price. If they halve it, it's an easy sale. I think you can keep games at higher prices because people know they are getting a whole new expeience. With DLC they are just getting a bit of fun that varies it - I say this as a casual player; I appreciate the hardcore will have hoovered up the DLC and got immense value out of it. I understand you don't want to penalise early adopters too much by slashing prices, but it's what you see on most platforms - even occassionally on Nintendo. If they punted all the characters and stages out at 20 quid now it would be a no brainer. |

Absolute pump. I'm amazed people got on with it. I was a huge Resi fan, I loved 4 and I played through 5 a few times with the wife. Confusing, bizarre ammo allocations (we kept running out) and control issues (the melee attacks seemed off) meant it was just generally a really poor game. Get revelations for one player, play 5 or revelations 2 for the co-op. Do not touch this with a stick. Fair play to people who liked it but we absolutely hated the coop we got it for. |

@Serebii you're very smug for someone who's talking bollocks. Saying stuff is superfluous and not 'in game'. If it's in the game, it's in game. I could agree with the sentiment of your point if amibo unlocks were only for the superficial (think this is the word you were after) but it's increasingly untrue. I've missed out on a mode in Mario Party and mini games in Splatoon. These aren't superficial or superfluous. They are things I want and can't get unless I buy some toys. It's not right; I never had a problem with DLC if the content is worth it, but let us pay for it as DLC. I don't want to have to order toys off the internet. |

I'm not slagging amibos. They're quite nice, I'd probably have a couple. I can't because I'm married and my wife would beat the shit out of me. So thanks, but no thanks. What pisses me off is hiding content. The mini games in Splatoon are the best example. I'm bored to tears of squid jump, if you want to charge me a quid or two to buy the games I'll bite your hand off. But I can't buy those toys. It's just not worth the bruising. |
