Your 'weekend' comes across as more like a few hours before this articles submission deadline. I only managed a few hours and quickly found how open and fluid the PvE was ad well as how quickly it moved past the kill ten x style of questing. I get the impression a lot of this preview was based on supposition. To have spent a whole weekend and not come across experiences even slightly similar to others who have posted makes it all smell a bit iffy. |

Sounds a bit like WAR RvR. This a good thing. RvR would have worked if it didn't have some massive exploits that were never fixed and idiotic server imbalances. Supposedly massive two week battles were reduced to a 15 minute zerg. Hopefully the level normalisation and other stuff will make this WvW stuff a bit more fun |

@Gastrian Dont buy in to the vocal minority too easily :) Celestial Steed(TRH) in WoW is a perfect example of how many and how much people pay for intangible stuff[shit] without a second thought. With 40K, I'd imagine it wouldn't matter what cool shit you purchase to layer on top of the core game (basic armies, codex and rules), you can still only field a 3000 point army. |

SOE unveils engine update for Planetside. Tad dissapointed to be honest. Was expecting some 'woah, if they can pull that off...' type announcement to get tthe juices going. Interplanetary travel; an evolution of the factions beyond the original concept; an evolving world beyond base capturing; browser based 'hacking' mini games that tie in to the game world (want to control a point? you need someone on the outside to complete the job). Really needs something beyond the original crammed in to a new engine to spark some interest. |
