Running an i5 2500k and a 970 on high @ 1080p. Glorious stuff. The woodlands are the best I have ever seen bar real life. Not sure what those who complain about bad performance are smoking but can I have some too?

Kingdom Come: Deliverance review - history is a double-edged sword

MrWonderstuff

And it's that, ultimately, which makes me too uneasy about Warhorse's work to be able to recommend it.
So it's not about the game just the person who made it? If it was a different developer would you recommend it?

A day in the life of an independent video game store

MrWonderstuff

They are a dying breed. I feel guilty I don't visit my local independent very often here in Stroud but when they are selling PC games for £40 and I know I can get a key for £20 I just can't justify it. Maybe I'll do a once-a-year thing a buy a physical copy from them.

Remember playing this on my 360 and loving it. I was quite happy with the world and creatures...not original sure but I sometimes don't want a Morrowind just an Oblivion. Think I may pick this up for my PC for a second playthrough - something I never normally do.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 review

MrWonderstuff

It's not an easy game by any stretch and forces you to really think about strategy and placement of your group. I have spent nearly 20 hours on the initial island which is only 25% of the game so this feels like an epic adventure I have only just begun.

Currently playing this and enjoying it. Building up my base, finding my way to the centre, following the Atlas path, ship combat are all quite fun things to do. The discovery of new worlds and lifeforms is great as well as dealing with a multitude of hazards whilst scrabbling together some rare elements is still engaging. It really is a timesink as I can play for hour without noticing. Oh and I flew aboard a freighter a found it it costs 60 million credits to own one...just passed the 1 million credit mark. I can only hope.

My first MMO. Loved it and convinced my girlfriend at the time to get into it (wasn't a gamer at all). Arriving in Rithwic for the first time and seeing a playing scamper through the fields was one of very few iconic gaming moments for me. Loved it and, apart from WoW for a few years, was my only MMO.

VR may not have made much money, but it's already revitalising games

MrWonderstuff

@richardhalpern Yes but if the camera moves when you don't that can induce nausea. It's down to whomever programs the experience - very hard to get nausea when there is teleportation. Not really going to argue with you on this as my experience and my friends/family's are clearly different.

MrWonderstuff

VR, much like radio, will not replace traditional gaming it will exist alongside of it as an alternative. I dip between both as I am a gamer who likes to experience all offerings. I demoed the Rift to some hardcore gamers who were blown away by it (Superhot and Arizona Sunshine in particular). Price and the power requirements are certainly a turn off for them - which I am sure will change in the future. For those who haven't tried it try and find someone who has a setup near you.
