Why would they put them in in the first place if they are avoidable? Sure, we can all think of a game where we have grudgingly tolerated QTEs but, by and large, QTEs are hated. Pick a gaming forum anywhere on the internet and search for QTE discussions. Hate, hate and more justifiable hate. So why bother? Surely they are aware of people's attitudes. They have community managers etc, don't they? |

Games of 2012: Forza Horizon

After waiting for what seemed to be forever for this to release I was put off by a crowded release window and perceived dubious DLC policy. I picked it up over Christmas, though, and I'm glad that I did. It doesn't have the complete drop-in MP freedom that the TDU2-hardened had hoped an open world Forza might have but it is open enough. I love what the day-night cycle brings to the races, as well, providing scope for some really memorable races. Mainly, though, It does something that Forza has never done before and that is let you just get in your favourite car, point it down the road and drive. |
