There are lessons of brilliance in Star Wars Battlefront 2, not just the drama
|
The design in both 1 & 2 is awesome. The sounds and graphics are gorgeous, believable and a dream come true to an old Star Wars fan. I believe if done right it could have been turned a success story. They should have enhanced on top of 1 instead of totally separate new game. Build a galaxy of Star Wars maps, game modes and special events. Add some sort of subscription model and free to play option, purchase of cosmetics if more monetization were needed. |

Nintendo Switch has now outsold 3DS
|
I love the Switch. Great concept and truly marvellous games from Nintendo. Games which I can play together with an 8 and 10 year old kids. Perfect on the sofa. It's not perfect, though. Joy-con drift, losing controller signal only a few meters off the console and the back panel has totally cracked in two and the whole unit is a bit bent under heavy use. The dock is cumbersome. eShop first party games expensive. Launch Switch here. |

Crytek delays some features of Hunt: Showdown's 1.5 update to 2021

I love Hunt Showdown. It’s the only game I keep coming back to. More than 500h played and for a 40+ family man gamer it’s a lot. It is unforgiving so I can see that it’s not for everyone. But it’s oh so tense and wonderful. Sneaking around, ambushes against real people and the art direction is lovely - the digital world is just wonderfully done and believable. It needs a certain dedication to overcome, but once it clicks it gives you those Dark Souls kind ”I did it, whoa” moments. It’s a shame that Hunt doesn’t get more following. |

A brief history of cyberpunk games
| @add286 Deus Ex is my fav game ever. The scope and options which were given to you were just spectacular when you compare to games around the same era. No handholding - here’s the world and some gadgets - you’re welcome, survive! Great cheesy music as well. I can hear the Hong Kong tune in my head right now. Just love it! |

A word about autoplay videos on Eurogamer
|
Ok, under my profile it says: Registered 17 years ago And most of those 17 years - I would have paid a sub if there was one. 17 fucking years! A sub which would take the ads off or whatever. But the last... some 5 years or so - I'm not certain if I'd pay the sub anymore as there have been less and less reviews for the games, for which I came to the site in the first place. Have loved the site, and still return every day. Hope the Eurogamer will find the spark again and find it's former glory as well. |
