Willing to use a higher quality material for a free bag to turn the heads of influencers and potentially increase sales but cuts corners and costs for those paying hard earned money for a special edition. | Finished it with a friend last night. Absolutely awful. Dialogue sounded like it was written by a 5-year-old. Terrible game mechanics. Everything was lifted from another game or movie. We did have a good laugh at how bad it all was though. |

Knew I wouldn't be able to muster any enthusiasm for this after playing 5 minutes of the Beta. The first month of Destiny 1 was really something, but I'm glad I bailed after 100 hours and moved on. |

@mikeclanton It's not just exclusives though, there are a huge number of third party games that don't come to Xbox. Hellblade, Pyre, Undertale to name three in just the last month. They really need to be bringing these games to the platform if they want the third party crown. |
| How can anyone justify £450 when there are no exclusives. Any 4K upgrades will be at the mercy of developers and as we have seen with the PS4 Pro, the majority won't put any time or effort into maximising the potential of the machine. |

The Switch is a great bit of kit but its specs for a docked console experience are underwhelming. I don't think anyone can be excited about the prospect of playing 900p or less games for the next five years on their 4k TVs. It definitely seems to work best as a handheld. |

| Sony's approach to the Pro has been baffling. No set standards or options with framerate, resolution, access to downsampling changing depending on the whims of developers for each patch. |

@Eaton_Corvinus Buyer's remorse. Sure, supersampling is nice but not seeing any tangible differences at 1080p unless looking at side by side comparisons. Tomb Raider is an outlier, devs will only increase the resolution for the majority of games in the same way they did for the difference between PS4 and Xbox One. FPS concerns too as evidenced by some early games. Spending £200 an upgrade now on a 1080p set isn't worthwhile as I have no plans for 4K for a few years yet. |

@Agarwel_Idiriz Improvements like that will be rare outside of first party sadly. Most devs only used the extra PS4 power compared to Xbox One for resolution so that trend is likely to continue for the Pro. |

| Its absolutely the right decision to bring it to PC, it's 2016, a game needs to be on as many platforms at launch as feasibly possible to be a success as we've seen with the mediocre sales of the latest Tomb Raider. I hope MS doesn't take this faux rage to heart as cross platform is the future. The majority of console gamers wouldn't buy it on PC anyway, it's a different market. |

The opening blurb makes it sound like you are jaded with the industry, when there's probably not been a better time for gaming in terms of variety and scope.
I miss the old days when you rated games and made ranked staff GOTY lists ;)
