Kids react to Game Boy

Centrifugal

Never thought at 19 years of age I'd feel old, but this video proved me wrong. Gameboy with Pokémon Yellow was my first ever gaming experience, had a lot of long nights as a kid under the bed covers after Mum turned the light off in my room with a torch and my Gameboy.

@BOFH_UK

Roger Craig Smith was superb and in my opinion, while less iconic/classic than Conroy's, RCS's performance outmatched KC's handily. Conroy puts in no effort with the Arkham games, when you compare his performance to B:TAS.

Capcom bounces back with stellar Monster Hunter 4 sales

Centrifugal

Ace Attorney 5 'basically achieving projected sales' is very good news. In order to guarantee the game's localisation, the VP of Capcom US projected sales way higher than any title in the series before.

Sales coming close to target is very good news for future localisation, might mean it's the best selling in the series.

BioWare: Mass Effect 4 may not relate to Shepard's story "at all, whatsoever"

Centrifugal

They should do it so a human ship crewed by tens of thousands discovers a new kind of Mass Relay, and it sends them to a different galaxy rather than a different solar system. Find a new council of alien races, etc. Keeps it fresh and independent from Shepard's tale, but still Mass Effect.

The strange evolutions of Metal Gear Solid 5

Centrifugal

@FenderMaster

GZ is set immediately after the PSP's Peace Walker; it's a prologue to MGSV. This is in 1974, 9 years before Snake wakes up in the hospital during The Phantom Pain portion of the game.

At the end of GZ Snake's base of operations is attacked by unknown forces and he presumably suffers grevious injuries at their hands, throwing him into a 9 year coma and prompting one of his arms to be amputated. He wakes up in the hospital in 1983 during The Phantom Pain, escapes the forces trying to kill him and then along with Revolver Ocelot heads to Afghanistan to rescue his former XO, Kaz Miller, so they can together rebuild the private army they lost 9 years ago and get revenge upon those who destroyed his home at the end of GZ.

Maybe it's not meant to be the plural of Ground Zero.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix review

Centrifugal

@Cappy Dream Drop Distance is a better game in my opinion, the second best in the series after Birth by Sleep. It has some of the best boss battles I've ever seen in an action-RPG towards the end.

OT: I only discovered Kingdom Hearts last year and had many of the same issues when playing KH1; a slow start, lack of narrative focus, some control frustrations. I was disappointed because I so wanted to love it.

But then at the end of the game, when Ansem's finally introduced, everything just clicked for me and I fell in love with it.

Only ever watched Chain of Memories' cutscenes on YT before so can't wait to play that and fight some new Org. XIII members, even if it is card-based.

And 358/2 Days is just a terrible game, I tried playing it (this is after I became a big KH fan) and just couldn't after a few hours. So glad they've condensed the story into a movie.

Got this today for £20, pretty happy to be honest. Can't wait to get stuck in tomorrow, going to be a day off well spent.

I don't usually bother saying this but I feel the review is overly harsh and doesn't properly address all aspects of the game like a good review should.

Thomas Was Alone review

Centrifugal

Loving this, but I don't usually play puzzle platformers so it's vexing me a little the further I go along. I can figure it out with time, but really what I'm most interested in is seeing these characters develop as the story progresses.

In a game about squares and oblongs. I think that says it all about how incredible the game is, really. Would have overlooked it without PS+, hope to see more like this in the future. I'm enjoying this more than any AAA release I've had for free so far.

PlayStation 3 12GB Super Slim review

Centrifugal

I've never bought a home console upgrade. I'm still rocking the 20GB Xbox 360 Premium, just with a bigger hard drive. I just bought a 60GB Fat PS3 on Ebay for £60.

It's only going to go inside my TV cabinet anyway, so why waste money on something aesthetically pleasing? I'm sure there are a few perks, but nothing justifying twice the price.

Handhelds are another matter, because you carry them around and updated versions may be lighter, have better screens and tighter controls. But home consoles?

Stick with the original, I say.
