What I like and what I don't like about Bungie's surprise decision to go with 4v4 for Destiny 2 PvP

This is Destiny all over again. 5 articles for Destiny 2 in 2 days.
I'm moving over to PC gamer, I can't take this site serious any more. Good bye.

Farpoint review

@djronz.
Off course I can see the potential. I was especially impressed by the fact you could steer with the controller and look around with your head. (something I want to see implemented in first person shooters instead of these silly motion controllers)
But fact remains the graphics were utter CRAP. I rather have non VR games with decent graphics.

Tried PSVR in a store. It was a racing game with very easy handling. It looked like a very very blurry PS2 game. I wonder if the store somehow fumbled up the settings or if all PSVR games look crap like that.

One of the things I appreciated in Deus Ex; you could pick up a lot of items and even store them in your inventory.

"hat it needs is strong artistic direction, a team that loves what they're doing and a compelling story they want to tell with fun characters."

If they happens to movies I would start watching movies again! And same for AAA games.

Prey is a love letter to the PC gamer

CaptainKid

@Seafort
Exactly. Browsing a friend's Playstation store I was surprised by the small number of titles available. (compared to Steam for example)
Especially a huge amount of smaller and indie games just never get released on console.

No shit. I've stopped playing AAA games altogether. Can't be bothered any more. Everything seems a rehash but with better visuals and a bigger world. (and oddly enough less fun game play and even more moronic game play choices)

They even ruined the only two game franchises I still admired. GTA V with it's moronic half working car save system (single player) and Fallout 4 removing the choices in dialogue and consequently quests.

I never saw the point in trophies or whatever they are called on Steam.
A friend of mine played a game once just to get some trophies; seems like madness to me.

Beat Cop review

CaptainKid

@Bauul
I disagree. I am interested in the atmosphere of the game (obviously not the visuals I can view those using Google, since Eurogamer chooses only to use 2 or 3 screen shots in a review, but the dialogue and story, etc.)

I am not at all interested how it made the reviewer feel since I might feel quite different.
Especially since Eurogamer reviewers seem to be hyper sensitive to anything that very remotely might be perceived as political incorrect.

CaptainKid

I've read MUCH better reviews on Steam. This doesn't really go in to the game play mechanics. For example no mention of the timer forcing you to choose what you spend your day doing. Meaning there will be consequences for things you did NOT do which is the heart of the game.

CD Projekt explains Cyberpunk trademark

CaptainKid

@UncleLou
Apple and computers I get, those aren't words which fit together.
But if you can make it so nobody can use the word Cyberpunk as a video game title; what is stopping companies from trademarking words, like war or end, so they can't be used in a movie title?

What's up with Nier: Automata on PC?

CaptainKid

1 year ago

I'm getting sick and tired having to jump through hoops to get some PC games running (adequately).
Walking Dead season 2 for example only gives me a black screen.

I don't want to google search and read through dozens of forum posts and change ini files or run in compatible mode or whatever to get a game running. (only to find out AA isn't working or the FOV is only 70 so I once again have to start googling)
At least I don't have to bother with updates any more since Steam does that automatically..

Either you or I have gotten our facts wrong. I was taught it was very hard and risky to flee from the east to the west. There was a fench with manned watchtowers, dogs and mine fields on both sides.. Soldiers had orders to shoot on sight.
People invented all kind of crazy schemes including a hot air balloon.
I am very baffled by your comment..
