Obviously I'm hoping the promised investment in new X Enhanced games results in a ton of actual new games for the machine, guess we'll have to wait for next year's E3 to see what's cooking. Sony really dropped the ball by not including a UHD blu ray player in the Pro though. You would have thought that after the domination of the PS2 due to having a dvd player and then sales of PS3 surely being supported by having a blu ray player, that putting a UHD disc player in the Pro would be a given. I think we'll find that whether a load of new titles materialise for the X or not, that the UHD player will give it legs in terms of sales. We can already see that 4K is a successful and growing format across the entertainment industry, unlike 3d which never really took off. |
