Left Joy-Con issues resolved for future units, Nintendo claims

VR may not have made much money, but it's already revitalising games
|
@neems Oculus Touch only ever gets a bit sketchy if your facing backwards but it's not been that much of a problem with other 360° titles so far. Considering a 3rd sensor to remove the issue entirely. |

@neems Arizona Sunshine worth getting then? It looked nice but didn't know how fun or long it was. It's currently discounted on the Oculus store so I'm tempted to pick it up. |

Watch Dogs 2 launch sales nowhere near Watch Dogs 1
|
I'd have bought the PC version, but now it's been put back to the same date as Final Fantasy XV, that will take preference. I might pick it up some time next year, but right now there just isn't enough time. Please publishers. STOP CRAMMING EVERYTHING INTO Q4. This is why you're loosing so many sales! If this launched in May or June, it would have been a day 1 purchase for me. People are growing up, having families, children and getting mortgages. It's impossible to keep up with the number of high profile releases, let alone the cost. |

Titanfall 2 fails to beat Titanfall sales in UK
|
Titanfall 2 is one of the best FPS's I've played in years. It's better than both CoD and Battlefield combined, yet, there has been SO much out this month and there are still loads of things coming out before Christmas. Is Christmas really that big sales period for games? I know people get games for presents but when there are 10 other AAA games released in the same period, there are only so many presents people are going to get. Surely it makes more sense to release it in the summer where we had NOTHING FOR MONTHS. |

Elite: Dangerous dev Frontier focuses on SteamVR
|
@CardCaptorKaren I'd sooner ditch Elite than the Rift. Having played Elite Dangerous @ EGX with a Vive, I immediately bought an x52 and a copy of ED. By December, I'd uninstalled it because I had lost all interest. The only thing that would have brought me back to it was VR support (my Rift preorder is due in June). No support = No Horizons purchase and in fact, no reinstall at all. Oculus will live long beyond the scope of Elite Dangerous. |

Surprise! Fallout Shelter iOS game out now
|
Initial impressions are that it's pretty good so far, bearing in mind I've only been playing it for about an hour or so. Graphics are nice and it runs smoothly (iPhone 6+), music is suitably Fallout, it also seems like it's got a lot of depth and content for a v1.0. The micro-transactions, as promised, are tucked away and aren't essential. Buying lunchboxes will give you gear such as guns and armour which you can equip and send your vault dwellers out exploring with, you'll get extra caps and other stuff too. You can earn lunchboxes by completing in-game quests anyway, so it's not like you'll never get them unless you buy them. Looking forward to getting into this, I needed a new iPhone buildy game and this looks like it'll tick the right boxes. |

Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions now available for iPhone, iPad

Nyko's Xbox One "Intercooler" seems rather pointless
|
@QuitYourYappin I had to send mine back at the start of Feb (a couple of days before my warranty expired) as it's had issues for about 6 months. The wifi would drop regularly and pads would become unsynced. I had to hard reset it every couple of days (hold power button on front for 5 secs) because nothing would sync at all. Sent it back, and didn't hear a single thing back from them. About 2 weeks later it unexpectedly arrived in the post with a "sorry, here's your console" note and a free prepaid month of Xbox live. On the upside, console works perfectly now. |

Seeing as he is the godfather of space shooters, he isn't the best at flying or landing, is he? SimCity disaster: EA's list of free games includes Battlefield 3, Mass Effect 3 and, amazingly, SimCity 4
|
Great... Battlefield 3 - Bought on launch day. Bejeweled - Couldn't care less about. Dead Space 3 - Bought on launch day. Mass Effect 3 - Free on PS+ at the mo anyway (plus, not really fussed about it) Medal of Honour - meh Most Wanted - Bought on x360 version on launch day. Plants vs. Zombies - Really? own on iOS, girlfriend has played it SO much that I still associate certain noises with the "the zombies are coming" sound sample. SimCity 4 Deluxe Edition - Well... Guess it's Medal of Honour then, which I probably won't ever play. Still, I look forward to them attempting to fix their entire fuck up in Sim City 6. |

Saturday Soapbox: Vita signs of life
|
I dearly love my Vita, take it everywhere with me and play it most days. People who say there aren't any games for it just aren't looking close enough or are jumping on the "Vita is a joke, lol" bandwagon. Sure, it could be a lot better but it's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Seeing games like Rayman Origins, Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Wipeout 2048, Metal Gear HD Collection, Assassins Creed Liberation, Gravity Rush and Little Big Planet in action are fantastic examples of why the Vita needs more support. There are plenty of downloadable games that are also fantastic like Hustle Kings, Super Stardust HD, Motorstorm RC, as well as a large portion of the PSP's back catalog. It's solidly built, looks great, plays great and I wouldn't get rid of it for anything. PS. For those complaining that it's £70 for a memory card?! You could, y'know, get a smaller one? The 16gb one will set you back £35, if it's not already bundled with console, which many are these days. The Sony MemoryStick Pro was also massively overpriced when it was released, but no-one seems to remember that. |

From Software "having a tough time" porting Dark Souls to PC, frame rate issues remain
|
@epiazk Yeah, but my point is that they're being honest and upfront about the fact it's just a crappy port because of all the problems they've encountered. At least when it arrives, people know exactly what they're getting. This in turn changes it from a crappy port to a fantastic 1080p version of Dark Souls with, what is claimed to be, 10 hours of extra content. Ok, so it's going to have a few flaws like a choppy frame rate in certain areas, but you already knew that was a problem when you bought it so when it happens, it becomes much less of an issue. Compare that to the multitude of crappy PC ports that Capcom have released. Any explanation as to why? No. Any attempt to fix them? No. They've released enough of them to know what they're doing by now so inexperience can't be blamed. They just churn out crappy ports. |

| At least they're honest about the problems they're facing, rather than just throw out a crappy port for the sake of it like so many other studios have done in the past. |

Thousands sign anti-GFWL Dark Souls PC petition
| I don't what the issue with GFWL is. I'm more likely to buy a multi format release on PC if it HAS GFWL. Playing my PC with all the settings maxed out and at 1080p running through the TV (or HD Projector if I can be bothered setting it up) and at the same time, earning achievement points? What's not to like?! It's never caused me a single issue in the past so I can't fault it really. |

Burnout Crash! for iPhone and iPad announced

Is the PlayStation Vita worth £230?
|
What a load of crap. I want a good console to play games on if I'm not at home. Just because I have a PS3 or an XBox, doesn't mean that I won't want one on the move. Infinity blade 2 is ok, but even that has time limited appeal. Bring on Vita, can't wait. |

UK police arrest LulzSec member Topiary
| It's about time those clowns were taken down. Sure, you take one down, 10 more spring up. Take those 10 down and 100 spring up in their place but take those 100 down and then you've gotta wonder how long it'll be before they get to you. Anonymous isn't invincible. Sure, they'll never get everyone, but they can take enough down to scare the majority into not being so retarded. Go outside, enjoy the fresh air, get an ice cream, go see the friends you've not seen for 3 months, reacquaint yourself with civilization, it's not that bad. |

Torchlight was great and Torchlight II looks even better. With added multiplayer it gets everything it needs to be something really awesome...
