Pokémon Sun and Moon - Mount Lanakila, Pokémon League, Elite Four

Our complete walkthrough for every step of your latest Pokémon journey.

Not long, now. Having, one last time, defeated Lusamine in Ultra Space, it's time to tackle your greatest challenge in Alola.

Flying back to Tapu Village is your next step, as what lies ahead is the new Pokémon League entrance at Mount Lanakila and, at the end of it, the Elite Four.

Mount Lanakila - the Alolan Victory Road

Waiting for you at the entrance to Mount Lanakila - a series of lifts accessed from an entrance just east of Tapu Village's Pokémon Center - is Gladion. He wants to thank you for all your help with... a battle! Seems to be the only way he knows how.

After you beat him, Gladion passes on a message from Lillie: that you're the best trainer in the world, and that she's looking after her mother at the Aether Foundation, of all places. Very kind!

Sentimental stuff out of the way, you're here to tackle the Elite Four. Head on up the elevator to Mount Lanakila's main route. It's fairly simple, in fact, especially compared to Victory Roads of the past.

Inside a cave entrance at the top of the lift is a narrow path that circles back on itself a couple of times. Explore each corner of the small cave to collect some rare items - including an Icy Rock for evolving Eevee into Glaceon, and a pedestal with Icium Z! - and then continue on, to a clearing with another lift.

After that, you'll reach a welcome Pokémon center at the icy peak of the mountain. Inside is Madame Reminder, who can teach any of your Pokémon any moves they could have learned at lower levels. Heal up, and stock up on restorative items like Full Restores, Full Heals, and Revives, before heading up the hill.

Before you get to the League though, Hau catches up to you! He wants one last battle to see who can go on to become the first Champion of Alola... take him down! In a friendly way, of course.

Pokémon League - Elite Four and final Alola Island Challenge Trial

Inside, Professor Kukui awaits you. You can takle the doors in order, but we'll list the trainers below in order of left to right. It's the four Island Kahunas who you'll be facing again - although Nanu wasn't up for it and is replaced by his niece, Acerola, and there's a newcomer here in previous Island Champion Kahilia - so save up, heal up, and remember that once you start, you can't leave. Prepair for your toughest battle in Alola!

Defeat the four Kahunas and none other than Professor Kukui, the Masked Royal and specialist in Pokémon moves, will take you on in a final showdown. He's tough, and knows his Z Moves, too, so be ready for a scrap!

Finally, when successfull against Kukui, you've done it. Congratulations, Trainer, on becoming Alola's first Champion of the Pokémon League!

There's still plenty more to see and do though, including Sun and Moon's extensive postgame, catching the Tapu Guardian Pokémon, Ultra Beasts, and more!
