Route 216 Pokémon, trainers and items
On Route 216 it's snowing heavily, which means the Hail effect is active in battle, causing most Pokémon to take damage each turn unless they're Ice-type or have the ability Ice Body, Magic Guard, Overcoat, or Snow Cloak.
There's a second area to this route, which runs higher up atop a cliff that can only be accessed with the HM Rock Climb, but you can't go there now, so just continue westwards collecting Pokémon and items and battling the several trainers that are here if you fancy it. There's a building at the western end called Snowbound Lodge, which thankfully allows you to sleep in a bed to rest and heal up your Pokémon!
|Full Heal||Hidden - dead end just west of beginning of first bridge|

Route 217 Pokémon, trainers and items
On Route 217, it's really snowing hard. This route is very long and heads north from Route 216 to Acuity Lakefront and just past that, Snowpoint City, where you can heal up.
Trudge north through the heavy snow, and once you get most of the way up the route you'll find a hut in the middle of the snow. Talk to the Hiker inside and he'll tell you he lost a TM for Rock Climb somewhere outside - that was silly of him! You'll want that. It's just behind his hut next to a tree. Get it, and it'll add Rock Climb to your Pokétch. Talk to the Hiker inside and he'll kindly let you keep it, too. Now you just need to beat the relevant Gym Leader and you can use it in the wild.
In the north-east, past a second house, there's an Icy Rock, which you can bring an Eevee to in order to evolve it into a Glaceon. There are loads of hidden items on this route buried in the heavy snow, so be prepared to use your Pokétch Item Finder app, and we've explained where they all are as best we can below!
|Full Heal||Hidden - a few steps north-east of Ninja Boy Antonio|
|PP Up||Hidden - a few steps south-east of Ninja Boy Antonio|
|Iron||In middle of area about halfway up route|
|TM07 Hail||In middle of area, south-east of Hiker's Hut|
|TM100 Rock Climb||Just behind Hiker's Hut next to a tree|
|Max Revive||Hidden - due east from Hiker's Hut south of Skier Bjorn|
|Max Repel||Hidden - very near Max Revive east of Hiker's Hut|
|Ultra Ball||Hidden - north-west of Hiker's Hut, south of Skier Lexie|
|Icicle Plate||From Hiker in his hut after you pick up TM100 Rock Climb|
|Max Potion||Hidden - south of Skier Bjorn closer to the eastern tree wall|
|Spell Tag||Talk to the lady in the northern house|
Trainers and Opponents
|Ace Trainer Dalton||Raichu|
|Ninja Boy Antonio||Zubat|
|Ninja Boy Ethan||Skorupi|
|Black Belt Luke||Croagunk|

At the very north of this lengthy route you'll reach Acuity Lakefront, where some Grunts are blocking the entrance to the lake. Ignore them and go east through the trees and long grass to Snowpoint City, your next destination!
