PlayStation 4 and Xbox One UK sales pass 5m mark

PS3/Xbox 360 were just 3.5m at same point.

More than 5.1m PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles have now been sold in the UK, according to new figures released by retailer GAME.

This compares to 3.5m PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles at the equivalent point in the last console generation.

The UK's current PS3/Xbox 360 userbase stands at 14.5m consoles sold, meaning that PS4/Xbox one is now a third of the way to beating it in just over two years.

UK PS4 sales passed the 3m mark back in January, MCV reported, which puts Xbox One's UK total around 2m.
