PlayStation 3D display coming to Europe

Update: UK price £499.

Update: Sony has told Euogamer the PlayStation 3D TV will cost £499 in the UK.

Original story: Sony has confirmed that the 24" PlayStation-branded 3D TV announced at E3 this year is coming to Europe in the Autumn priced at €499.

Speaking during the platform holder's Gamescom presentation today, Sony exec Jim Ryan stated that the set will offer an "accessible entry to 3D gaming".

The screen boasts "unique" SimulView technology that allows two different viewers to see two different images at the same time depending on where they are seated.

Two pairs of 3D glasses are included.

We're chasing Sony for a UK price and concrete release date. Update soon.
