Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time is now slated for a July release, developer Popcap has announced.

Originally it was slated to come out in the first half of 2013, making the subtitle especially relevant.

Curiously, no platforms have been confirmed, but it's a safe bet it will be on PC, Mac and mobile devices ala the first game.

The original Plants vs. Zombies was a phenomenal success, smashing records by selling 300K copies in its first nine days. It was also Ellie's favourite game of 2009.
