Out of nowhere, on-rails shooter Blue Estate launches on PS4

Bang.

Focus Home Interactive has launched first-person on-rails shooter Blue Estate on PlayStation 4. Surprise!

It launched on the US PlayStation Store yesterday and launches in Europe today as part of the Store's weekly update.

Blue Estate is described as a "darkly funny" rail shooter developed by Hesaw and based on the Blue Estate comic books from Viktor Kalvachev.

The PS4 version uses the gyroscopic features of the DualShock 4, but, strangely, not the PlayStation Move controller.

You play Tony Luciano, the homicidal maniac son of LA's crime boss Don Luciano, and Clarence, a broke ex-navy seal who has been hired to clean up Tony's mess. You shoot and kill lots and lots of gang members.

Blue Estate began life as a game for the Leap Motion controller, which Eurogamer YouTube editor Ian Higton took for a spin in the Let's Play video, below, last year.

Apparently there's an Xbox One version somewhere, although we can't find a release date for it. KINECT SAVED?
