No sign of Tetris 360 in UK

Out next month across the pond.

As US Xbox 360 owners get ready to feast their fingers on the block-shuffling wonder that is Tetris, THQ UK today denied it had anything on the cards.

"It's not that I can't talk about it; we haven't got anything to announce," a spokesperson told Eurogamer this morning.

Oh well - in the US at least, Xbox 360 fans will be able to play Tetris Evolutoin by the end of March. The publisher said it would introduce new gameplay modes to the classic puzzle formula, along with customisation aspects and online play for up to four players.

"The Tetris series has been entertaining people of all ages for 20 years and has delivered unprecedented appeal and longevity in gaming," Kelly Flock, executive veepee of worldwide publishing, pointed out.

"With its predecessor, THQ's Tetris Worlds, having sold more than two million copies to date, we can't wait to debut Tetris Evolution on the Xbox 360 to show how the game has further evolved."
