Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch special edition gets more goodies based on number of pre-orders

Namco takes to crowdsourcing.

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch's publisher Namco Bandai will add additional content to the game's special Wizard Edition based on how many pre-orders are placed for the PS3 RPG by Level-5 and Studio Ghibli in its videogame debut.

The promotion - or "Ninostarter campaign" - is already in effect and lasts until 31st August.

Currently it's 35 per cent of the way towards hitting its first goal. A meter next to the progress bar notes that it has 2413 fans as of writing this, which is ostensibly a tally of pre-orders so far.

As it stands, the special Wizard Edition includes a plush doll of sidekick Drippy, exclusive "golden mite" and "golden drongo" DLC familiars, and a 300 plus page hardback physical copy of protagonist's Oliver's spellbook that contains an illustrated bestiary along with descriptions of various items, spells and lore. It's priced at $99.99.

Sadly, it's only available to those in the US exclusively through clubNAMCO.com.

We've contacted Namco for any info regarding a European release and will update as we hear back.
