New maps for Call of Duty 2

Dutiful reporting.

As promised, Activision and Infinity Ward have released the Invasion Map Pack for Call of Duty 2.

Available through Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 MS points, which works out at just under seven quid in her majesty's pounds (and therefore around 10 in the wads of the Euro-empire), it includes five maps.

Infinity Ward studio head Grant Collier says "we've mixed things up with the Invasion Pack," and by that he means that you get to go to France, France, France, Egypt and Russia.

More specifically, Antonville, St. Louet, Amaye sur Seulles and, out-of-France, Alam Halfa in Egypt and Rostov in Russia.

You can find them by logging onto Marketplace now - and given that Call of Duty 2 is currently the most popular of Xbox 360's multiplayer games, as Activision delights in reiterating, you'll probably find some people to spar with too.

CoD2 has previously seen free maps in the Bonus Map Pack and some others you could buy in the Skirmish Map Pack.
