Johnny Depp on PlayStation Portable?

Robert Rodriguez reportedly wants to turn his FBI agent from Once Upon A Time In Mexico into a PSP game...

Film director Robert Rodriguez (and, in fact, editor, musician, etc, since he does pretty much everything) is reportedly interested in developing Johnny Depp's character from Once Upon A Time In Mexico into a multimedia property - with a PlayStation Portable game amongst his aspirations.

Rodriguez comments at the San Diego Comic-Con, picked up on 1up.com, suggest that the quirky FBI agent Depp plays in the film - one of the best things about it, as we recall - could well turn into an animated movie and a videogame on PSP.

Speaking during a panel discussion relating to his next film, Sin City, Rodriguez was apparently noncommittal about a movie, but did mention Sony's forthcoming handheld by name.

Apart from a PC game of From Dusk Till Dawn, we can't recall the last thing he did which turned into a game, so it'll be an interesting experiment if it does come about. We'll let you know if we hear anything else.
