KOTOR2 due out before Christmas?

A new trailer and various retail reports suggest that the US date has been brought forward, possibly using Force Pull. That, there, was Force Pun.

LucasArts is gearing up to release Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords this year in the USA, judging by a new trailer posted on the publisher's website this week and a new street date carried by a number of US retailers.

The trailer, which is only brief and consists largely of lightsabre combat and a Marlboro Man voice over, concludes with a big "Winter 2004" splash, rather than "February 2005", which has been the mantra for as long as information has been available.

A number of US retailers concur, including Gamestop, Amazon and EBGames, all of whom list the Obsidian Entertainment-developed title as due out on December 6th on PC and Xbox. Although we'd still expect the title to arrive in Europe in early 2005, there is of course the prospect of a pre-Christmas import to entertain.

To get hold of the new trailer yourself, you can head to the official site, or just download the 640x480 version from Eurofiles, which ought to be even quicker. May the files be with you, etc.
