Hip buys rights to Rights

PC version of Namco action game planned.

Hip Games and Namco have signed a five-year exclusive licensing agreement, which will see Dead to Rights appear on the PC in Europe (via LSP) and North America (via Hip Interactive). In Europe, the game has already appeared on Xbox courtesy of Electronic Arts, with PS2 and Cube versions due out on July 16th.

Will it work out for them? Who knows? We quite liked the Xbox version, but we also felt it looked and played rather behind the times. It's not yet clear if the PC and console versions of Dead to Rights will differ in any way, but by the sound of it Hip Games is hoping to package it up without much alteration.

Dead to Rights on the PC is due towards the end of the year, and LSP will be publishing it.
