LotR Tactics coming to PSP
Portable turn-based strategy.
Regular visitors to US online store EB Games may have noticed that a listing for PSP title Lord of the Rings: Tactics appeared on the site some weeks ago - but quickly disappeared, with Electronic Arts denying all knowledge of any such game.
Well, it turns out that LotR: Tactics is in development after all - in fact, the game was on show at EA's One Hot Summer Night event in San Francisco last week.
It's said to be a tactical strategy title inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics, complete with spanky graphics and turn-based gameplay.
You can choose whether to join Saruman's evil forces or team up with Gandalf, Frodo and him off of The Goonies as you take command of an army of troops in the battle for Middle Earth. We're promised alternate endings according to whose side you take and a wireless multiplayer mode.
Lord of the Rings: Tactics is due out at the end of this year.
