Rockstar Games has released a pair of fairly nondescript screenshots from the Las Venturas region in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, giving us our first glimpse of the game's third city - previously we've only heard about Los Santos, San Fierro, and the countryside in-between the three cities.

Las Venturas is based on Las Vegas, as you might imagine, and the two shots will probably leave you in little doubt. The first one features a chap standing in front of an oilfield with a very big gun, while the second is a cheesy Vegas-style welcome sign. You can find both of them at the bottom of our GTA: San Andreas screenshots page.

We'd expect to see more of Las Venturas in the coming fortnight as Rockstar readies itself for the game's launch this October 29th on PS2. And of course we'll have a review up as soon as humanly possible...
