Bard's Tale out of Xile

Acclaim nabs European rights.

Brian Fargo's Phoenix-from-the-ashes outfit inXile has signed a European publishing deal with Acclaim for its Bard's Tale remake title due out next Autumn.

Little is known about the RPG title as yet, but Acclaim's VeePee of marketing Larry Sparks reckons it's "a fusion of great new technologies, truly innovative story telling, sophisticated humour and wonderful characterisation", and says it's the start of a beautiful relationship with inXile, or words to that effect.

Predictably, Fargo was "very pleased" but we'll spare you the rest of the waffle. You could probably guess what came next, although mercifully the word 'synergy' wasn't used once.
