New DSiWare games revealed for Japan

Nintendo has unveiled the second batch of DSiWare titles to be released in Japan.

As reported by IGN, there are eight in total and they're all due to launch on 28th January.

In the 200 DSi Point category (that's GBP 1.70 / EUR 2.40 to you) there's the self-explanatory Solitaire DSi plus Nintendo DSi Clock Photo Stand Type, which turns your DS into a digital or analogue clock. You can even record your own alarm sounds and, most excitingly, this is only number one in a series of clock-based software releases.

For 500 DSi Points (GBP 4.25 / EUR 600) there's Hobo Nichi Rosenzu, which lets you play around with the rail maps for Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, Nagoya, Sapporo, Fukuoka and Kyoto.

The same investment will get you Chotto Panel de Pon, a new version of the classic puzzle game, or Chotto Suujin Taisen - yes, another puzzler, but this one's number-based and has a Wi-Fi Connection mode for up to four players.

There are two more Art Style games to choose from too. PicoPict involves manoeuvring and matching falling blocks, just for a change, while Somnium involves moving coloured panels and matching coloured balls. Each title costs 500 DSi Points.

And finally, Chotto Asobi Taizen Jikkuri Trump features five card games - Blackjack, Page One, American Page One, Daifugou and Poker. Up to eight players can compete via local wi-fi.

There's no word on when the new DSiWare titles will make it over here, but then there's no word on when the DSi will make it over here - "spring" was the last we heard.
