New Assassin's Creed mobile game exclusive to Gree

Out from December for iOS and Android.

Ubisoft has announced a new Assassin's Creed game that will launch exclusively on the Gree platform.

Ubisoft and Gree said they are "committing to delivering a new and innovative social gaming experience" to the popular franchise on the Gree platform through iOS and Android devices. No gameplay details were revealed.

What is Gree? It's a Japanese mobile and social gaming platform designed to connect gamers with high quality content. For developers, it offers a "fully borderless" cross-platform network of iOS and Android players.

The Gree platform launches in Europe in Q2 2012, so at some point April to June. Assassin's Creed will be available in December in English and Japanese, with other languages to follow.

Gree, which focuses on free-to-play content, reaches over 190 million players, and is home to over 7500 game apps.
