New Adventure Time game coming in November

Ooo?

Games based on the popular Adventure Time cartoon series don't turn out very well. There was a three-game series a few years back, the only instalment of which we reviewed got a sparkling 4/10.

But that doesn't mean all Adventure Time games have to be rubbish, right? Take this new game, Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations: it's a 3D adventure game (appropriately enough) about finding clues and solving puzzles.

It's coming out on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U and 3DS in November. And it's made by Vicious Cycle, the same developer that made Earth Defense Force: Insect Invasion not so long ago, which we rather liked. (Bandai Namco is distributing.)

But look a bit more closely at the screenshots of Finn and Jake Investigations and the excitement may start to unravel a bit. Here's hoping, then, but with trepidation.
