Mortal Kombat Challenge Tower revealed

Test Your Might!

NetherRealm Studios will bring the classic Test Your Might mini-game from the first Mortal Kombat game kicking and screaming into the current generation with a special mode for the new, upcoming Mortal Kombat.

Mortal Kombat's 300 level Challenge Tower mode includes Test Your Might, Test Your Sight and "several new additions". A video showcasing the mode is below.

In Midway's gory 1992 fighting game, Test Your Might challenged players to bash buttons as fast as they could, filling up a meter that would then be used to determine the strength the in-game character smashed a large block. Fill the power gauge to the required level and, smash. It was well hard.

The trademark mode got harder the further you got into the game, progressing from wood to stone, then steel, ruby and finally diamond. That one was almost impossible.

The new Mortal Kombat is seen as a return to the series' bloody roots, and is once again directed by franchise stalwart Ed Boon.
