More Dragon Quest for DS

VI, V, VI confirmed.

Square Enix has confirmed that the DS will be treated to even more Dragon Quest, in the form of spruced-up versions of IV, V, and VI.

Dates and details aren't on offer, but we expect visually it will resemble the recent reworking of Final Fantasy III for DS.

Dragon Quest IV was first made famous on the NES in 1990, Dragon Quest V appeared originally on the SNES in 1992, and Dragon Quest VI on SNES in 1995. All dates are Japanese, and despite various remakes, each tale has yet to appear in Europe.

The DS will exclusively host the ninth instalment in the series when Dragon Quest IX: Defenders of the Sky launches sometime this year in Japan.

Two spin-off games have also graced Nintendo's handheld abroad: Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime, and Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker.
