MLB. TV Premium app now available on Xbox Live

Run home and try it.

Streaming US Major League Baseball games is the latest service to join Xbox Live's growing array of dashboard apps.

The MLB. TV Premium app, already available in North America, has now launched in the UK and most of Europe.

You'll need a Gold subscription to get all the features, and be a paid-up subscriber to MLB. TV Premium - $114.99 a year (about £71), or $24.99 a month (£15).

For your money you can stream live games, watch highlights and browse an archive of earlier matches, including the 2011 season. Matches are streamed in HD with a choice of Home and Away audio feeds (but no Alf Stewart).

You can even watch two games at once in split-screen and control the whole thing using Kinect-powered air swipes.
