Minecraft: Pocket Edition chisels out 1 million Android sales
Something to build on.Minecraft: Pocket Edition has passed the one million paid downloads mimlestone on Android platforms, developer Mojang has announced.
A Tweet from Mojang business developer Daniel Kaplan, as picked up by The Verge, broke the news earlier today.
"Minecraft - Pocket Edition has now sold more than 1 million copies. Thanks all for the support and I hope you will like the coming updates!" he wrote.
There's no word on iOS sales, though it seems to be holding up well on Apple's platform too - it's currently 26th in the paid app chart.
It hasn't all been plain sailing for the portable version of Notch's indie phenomenon though. Earlier this year Mojang announced a major rethink of the game's direction following negative feedback from players to a planned update.
