Mojang-published Cobalt confirmed for Xbox 360, Xbox One

2D platforming shooter approved by Notch.

Minecraft developer Mojang has announced it will publish Cobalt for Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

The 2D platform shooter is currently available in alpha for PC and Mac, developed by Swedish indie outfit Oxeye.

It has a 16-bit era style and will be a competitive multiplayer experience.

Mojang recently announced it had halted development on space sandbox 0x10c, although is still developing original smash hit Minecraft.
