Mega Man hits Virtual Console

1989 vintage is one of two.

Run don't walk to Virtual Console this week for the chance to download 1989's Mega Man (NES, 500 Wii Points) and TurboGrafx-16's China Warriors (600 Wii Points). Then come back here and watch us struggle to fill the next two paragraphs.

Both games were released in 1989, but that's not all they have in common! Both involve defeating enemies! And probably jumping! Mega Man certainly does. It's a platform-hopping battle to power up and then tackle each stage's final boss on the way to a showdown with Dr Wily and his robot army. Exclamation mark exclamation mark one one one shift.

Meanwhile, China Warrior - once acclaimed for its groundbreaking graphics, according to Nintendo - is about fighting across the country (China, presumably) until everyone's dead and you're the ultimate warrior. Which is a pants description, but in my defence Wikipedia doesn't know any better. Watch out for a more informed rundown about what works and doesn't in these two when Dan pops up with another Virtual Console Roundup today or tomorrow.
