Epic Games vice president Mark Rein has denied that the Gears of War developer has ignored the PC in favour of consoles.
"I think that's a myth that we've abandoned the PC, it's just not true," Rein told our allies at Rock, Paper, Shotgun.
"I mean, Bulletstorm is coming out on three platforms; we've just been in this situation where our biggest franchise has been published by a console-holder, and was a very console designed-IP."
Bulletstorm is developed by Epic satellite People Can Fly and due out from publishing partner Electronic Arts in 2011.
"Don't confuse Gears of War with everything we do," Rein chided.
"There's a tendency to think that because we wanna do one thing really, really well and not a hundred things really poorly or just okay that we're less committed."
Earlier this week Rein told an audience at GameHorizon in the UK that Epic was also looking into micro-transactions and lower-priced games, and that mobile platforms were "the consoles of the future".
Bulletstorm, however - like Gears of War 3 - is a good old-fashioned action blockbuster due out on disc.
"Honestly I think Bulletstorm and [Unreal Development Kit] are firmly establishing us in the PC realm as still the big player there," he concluded.
