How to find the wedge in Maquette

We've reached the fourth chapter, The Wedge, of Maquette and the world is looking far more autumnal than it did before.

The first place you'll want to visit is the purple house to the right of your starting point; follow the pathway through the building and garden, so you can pull the lever at the end.

Doing so will transport you out into the larger maquette, where you need to visit the larger version of the house. If you want to enter it, however, you need to use the rake to climb up the garden fence.

Atop the fence, walk to your left and drop down onto the stairs. From here, you can now climb the stairs using the various flower pots and rubble.

Inside the house, use the pile of books to access the model house on the table.

Within this little house, you'll find the wedge atop a pile of books.

Pick the wedge up and return to the dome within your original maquette.

How to use the wedge to explore the cabins in Maquette

The wedge will allow you to fully explore this chapter of Maquette and the first thing you need to do is place it in front of the gap in the right-hand fence, next to where the words have appeared.

With the wedge placed, climb the larger version to access the area with the cabins.

Pull the levers you'll find inside the two open cabins - one will lower the fence for this area and the other will open a new entrance into the larger maquette.

Return to the dome and place the ramp in front of the cabin which is still surrounded by a fence.

With this done, you can now head out into the larger maquette.

Here you can access the larger version of the fenced-in house by slipping through the railings and climbing the wedge.

Inside this cabin is another lever you need to pull - it's highlighted by a red light if you're having trouble seeing it.

To reach the lever, climb along the pipework on the far end of the cabin and jump onto the chair. Don't worry - you can pull the lever from the chair, so there's no need to go any further.

Climb this pipework.

With that done, head back to the dome.

How to find the key in The Wedge chapter of Maquette

Your next task in The Wedge chapter of Maquette is to find the key for the cathedral.

The first step in this journey is to upscale the wedge by placing the version within the dome anywhere on the plaza surrounding it.

You can pick up the wedge when it's this size.

You can then place this larger version within the dome again, but, this time, against the outer wall of the northern cabin area.

With this larger ramp in place, you can take one of the elevators in the northern corners of the dome plaza to the lower level. Once here, simply walk up the wedge and drop down into the new area.

Like before, you'll want to flip the two switches in the open cabins before returning to the dome.

Here you need to downscale the wedge by placing in on the plaza surrounding the dome, which will cause the smaller model to reappear on the maquette.

Place this smaller wedge sideways outside the elevated house on the maquette, making sure you can it as close to the building as possible.

Next, it's time to leave the dome again and venture out in the larger maquette.

Don't walk up the main ramp of the wedge when you reach it. Instead, look at the base of the wedge and you'll find a small ramp which, normally, you wouldn't be able to climb.

At the top of this ramp, you'll find a platform with a lantern placed upon it. Walk to the eastern end of this platform and you'll be able to drop down onto the railing for the wedge, which, when walked up, will grant you access to the house.

Within the house, you'll find a crack in the wall, which, when ventured inside, will bring you to key atop a mousetrap. You can pick up the key without consequence and then it's back to the dome once more.

How to reach the bell in Maquette

The final task in this chapter of Maquette is to touch the bell at the top of the cathedral.

First, however, you need to use the key to unlock the door for the cathedral.

Afterwards, upscale the wedge again and place the larger version on the maquette in front of the cathedral.

Now all you have to do is climb the wedge inside the maquette, which is achieved with a small jump, and touch the bell.

Climb the wedge inside the dome.

Doing this will transport you to the next chapter of Maquette - The Escape. If you want to learn more about Maquette, check out our Maquette trophy guide.
