Lost Planet map packs soon

Seven new battlefields total.

Capcom plans to bombard Lost Planet fans with additional multiplayer maps over the course of the "coming months", with a total of seven set to light up Xbox Live Marketplace and help thaw any gathering disinterest.

The first two-map pack is set to go live on or around 9th March, when a patch is also due, and consists of a close-quarters map called "Radar Field" along with a more open alternative, "Island 902". The pack will cost 400 Microsoft points (GBP 3.40 / EUR 4.65), which seems like a lot to us. Hrm.

The other maps will then form part of an additional two map packs in the months that follow, while Capcom has added that "Battleground", a map included with the retail release as part of the special edition version, will also be made available for everyone else to enjoy in the same kind of timescale.

Still not played Lost Planet? Then why not download the single- and multiplayer demos off of Xbox Live Marketplace? Wait, that's not what I'm supposed to say. I'm meant to direct you to our review. Phew!
