LittleBigPlanet dev unfurls gorgeous Tearaway trailer

Watch it unfold.

PlayStation Vita exclusive Tearaway, the papercraft puzzle-platformer from LittleBigPlanet creator Media Molecule, has been shown off in new footage.

The trailer reveals atoi, an alternate playable character and female version of iota, the game's envelope-headed hero.

Tearaway's story will revolve around the contents of said envelope - a unique letter for each player.

It looks like there's a fair bit of exploration and puzzle-solving, mixed in with tighter sections escaping from Wendigos, Tearaway's race of pearl-munching monsters.

There's still no release date for Tearaway, other than a vague "2013" launch window.

Watch footage from the game's crunchy cardboard and pliable paper levels below.
