Lego Mario can suit up as Cat Mario and more

Four additional Power-Up Packs sold separately.

Lego's upcoming Super Mario range will include four Power-Up Packs to customise your electronic Super Mario toy.

Costumes for Cat Mario from Super Mario 3D World, Builder Mario from Mario Maker, Propeller Mario from New Super Mario Bros. and the classic Fire Mario suit will all be available in separate £8.99 packs.

Each suit will customise the base Mario unit's look and sounds, plus unlock an individual skill to gain extra coins. Cat Mario, for example, will meow and purr in Mario's usual tones. You'll also collect coins while walking the toy up vertical surfaces.

Here's a video showing all four in action:

Here in the UK, these customisation packs will launch alongside the rest of the Super Mario range on 1st August.

The whole range revolves around the Starter Course, which includes the electronic Mario toy. You'll then be able to add in extra pieces from further add-on sets, such as one featuring Bowser's Castle.
