Left 4 Dead nearly half-price this weekend

Valve will be cutting the price of Left 4 Dead on Steam by 40 per cent this weekend to just GBP 16.19. The offer ends on Monday.

To get a taste of the frantic co-operative action, Valve is offering a free Left 4 Dead trial to everybody today. All participants need to do is download the client from Steam, steady themselves and then wade in. That offer ends at midnight.

In Left 4 Dead, a team of four survivors use teamwork to overcome a never-ending wave of Infected (zombies, basically). The twist comes from being able to control the Infected baddies during multiplayer. It's all brilliant.
