Kutaragi bags Lifetime award

Retired Sony Entertainment boss Ken Kutaragi is to be given a Lifetime Achievement award for his work creating PlayStation.
It will be presented by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences during the D.I.C.E. Summit in February next year, according to co-organiser GameSpot.
Kutaragi will be the third person ever to receive this new honour, after former Nintendo US suits Howard Lincoln and Minoru Arakawa secured the award in its inaugural year for their work revitalising the North American gaming industry during the 1980s.
Ken Kutaragi joined Sony back in 1975 and is commonly known as the "Father of PlayStation". He recently stepped aside to let former SCEA boss Kaz Hirai take his throne, before retiring completely earlier this year.
The D.I.C.E. Summit gives industry bigwigs like Mike Capps from Epic, Oddworld creator Lorne Lanning and LucasArts boss Jim Ward the opportunity to waffle on about the state of the industry.
