Just Cause sequel confirmed

Along with other Eidos faves.

A second Just Cause game is in development, Eidos has confirmed in a financial statement today.

"We now expect Just Cause to sell over one million units in the current financial year. The sequel to Just Cause is in development."

The action sequel will be joined by new games in the long-running Tomb Raider, Hitman, and Championship Manager franchises, "plus new IPs including Kane & Lynch and Crossfire," said the company.

No release dates were forthcoming for any of the titles announced today, as Eidos is still waiting on news of PlayStation 3's release in Europe.

"In the light of the launch of the Sony PlayStation 3 in North America in November 2006 and its planned European launch in Spring 2007 we are assessing the timing of when to launch these titles on the appropriate next generation platforms," said the statement.
