Inside Xbox team set up on their own

Former Microsoft man Dan Maher resurfaces.

Key members of the team behind Inside Xbox - the on-console video service recently scrapped by Microsoft - have set up their own production company.

As reported by MCV, co-host Dan Maher along with producers Gareth Wild and Ashley Denton are in the early stages of getting new outfit Explosive Alan Productions off the ground.

They haven't detailed exactly what their plan is but it definitely sounds video game-related - Maher Tweeted earlier today that they'll be filming at a Square Enix community event tomorrow.

Maher's Inside Xbox co-host Andy Farrant isn't directly involved, though in another Twitter post he added that they're "inevitably going to collaborate on stuff".

US Xbox community chief Major Nelson wished Maher and co. well soon after their announcement was made.

"Well done guys! Can't wait to see what you've got planned," he Tweeted.
