Ignition cancels WarDevil again - report

Widespread redundancies reported.

Long-in-development action title WarDevil has been cancelled for a second time, according to a Develop report.

Sources claimed that redundancies have been issued across Ignition's entire London-based studio and the game, recently re-dubbed Project Kane, has been tossed on the scrapheap.

However, it might be revived for a third time should an external developer show interest in taking it on.

On top of the London job losses, lay-offs are also reported at Ignition's Texas and Japan offices too.

WarDevil was first announced back in 2004 as an "Xbox 2" title. It was eventually cancelled back in 2010, but then resurrected as Project Kane and put on a fast-track for release later this year.

Take a look at the trailer below for a glimpse of what might have been.
