Hearthstone is now on iPhone and Android phones

So long, free time.

Hearthstone has finally transitioned onto smartphones of both the iOS and Android variety.

Available on the App Store and Google Play, this smartphone rendition of Blizzard's popular free-to-play card-combat game rejigged the HUD to function with touch controls on a smaller screen.

It requires at least an iPhone 4S or 5th generation iPod Touch, however. On Android it requires a minimum 4.0 device.

Blizzard has confirmed that the smartphone versions of Hearthstone are compatible with its tablet and desktop brethren, so all your account info will carry over.

Eurogamer's former editor Tom Bramwell considered Hearthstone an essential title. "Hearthstone is unlike a lot of games," he wrote in his Hearthstone review. "It's a card strategy game that is bright and accessible. It's a free-to-play game with generosity of spirit... It's overflowing with character and imagination, feeds off and fuels a vibrant community of players and performers, and it only stands to improve."
