Harmonix's next game is DropMix

Music meets... Magic the Gathering?

Harmonix, the developer of Rock Band and Dance Central, has announced its next game: DropMix.

DropMix, which is being built with toy maker Hasbro, is described as a fast-paced music mixing game where players create mixes by playing cards featuring songs.

Each card represents a different part of a song - like vocals, bass and drums. As you place the cards on the electronic DropMix board, which connects to a free app on your iOS or Android device, you hear a custom mix start to take shape in real-time.

You can play 1v1 or 2v2 in local multiplayer. You earn points by playing cards and the first to 21 wins. You can also save your mix to your device. The image, below, reveals some of the songs to be included with the game.

DropMix is due out September 2017. 300 cards are in the works for the 2017 collection.
